# Ohio Liquor (OHLQ)

> Ohio Liquor (OHLQ) is the official source for purchasing fine spirits and liquor in Ohio. OHLQ is a public-private partnership between the Ohio Department of Commerce's Division of Liquor Control (DOLC) and JobsOhio Beverage System (JOBS). The Division selects products, sets statewide pricing, and manages liquor sales across Ohio. JOBS supplies products to OHLQ locations and directs profits — not taxes — toward Ohio economic development via JobsOhio. High-proof liquor in Ohio is sold exclusively through a statewide network of privately owned, state-licensed contract agency stores. Prices are fair, consistent, and competitive across all locations. This site is intended for adults 21 and older. Responsible consumption is a core priority of OHLQ in everything it does.

OHLQ operates in a control state model, meaning the State of Ohio holds authority over the wholesale and retail distribution of high-proof spirits. OHLQ aggressively pursues rare, premium, and small-batch products — including OHLQ Exclusive single-barrel selections unavailable outside Ohio — and holds bottle lotteries to ensure all eligible Ohioans have a fair opportunity to purchase highly allocated products. New products are reviewed and listed quarterly based on sales trends, category demand, price tier balance, and supplier marketing support. Product performance is tracked daily and reviewed twice yearly.
